We are pleased to confirm that Chris Page has been promoted to lead Folgate’s liability division.
Chris joined the company back in 2010 as a Senior Underwriter having previously worked in the liability sector for composite companies such as NIG and RSA.
Since joining Folgate, Chris has used his knowledge and expertise to help drive the success of its’ liability product offering. This coupled with his strong leadership skills make him the ideal candidate to head up the division.
Chris’s promotion will ensure that the liability team continue to provide an outstanding service to Folgate’s broker network and will help the business deliver its strategy for new liability products planned for 2022, all of which play a major part in Folgate’s continued growth.

What do you enjoy most about working at Folgate?
The teamwork that is involved to deliver consistent underwriting solutions and produce sustainable growth for the business.
There were significant changes in the marketplace last year, with markets hardening and with capacity being withdrawn, however through our teamwork and collaboration we managed to achieve an outstanding result.
What excites you most about the insurance industry?
It’s fast paced, and the environment is always moving. I enjoy trading day-to-day with brokers and the challenges that the market brings as we adapt to suit the needs of our customers.
What responsibilities are you most looking forward to in your new role as Head of Liability?
I’m looking forward to the continued growth of the liability sector of our business through the launch of new products and new and existing binding authorities that provide sustainable underwriting results.
We have some exciting new products that are due to be launched this year and I believe that we have built a very strong team that will provide the underwriting expertise and service required for our new and existing product range.
I’m also looking forward to working closely with our broker partners and coverholders to build further on relationships and help both parties achieve long-term sustainable growth.
